Lari rate methodology — National Bank of Georgia
NBG publishes daily reference rates for the Georgian Lari (GEL). The bank classifies foreign currencies into categories with different methodology — major liquid currencies are computed from interbank quotes; less liquid ones derive from cross-rates against majors.
How NBG sets the rate
Daily fix on business days; the rate becomes effective the next business day. NBG covers ~42 currencies. Historical archive begins 2010-01-04 in our store.
Update schedule
Mon–Fri Asia/Tbilisi. Georgian bank holidays observed.
